If you are just beginning to get the hang of playing Let it Ride poker, you may be a little confused on the hand rankings. Let it Ride is a newer casino game that may appear to be a mixture between Blackjack and Poker as it is played on a Blackjack style table yet played similarly to Poker. Let It Ride is played on a blackjack type table with a deck of 52 cards and the idea of the game is to get a pair of tens or better with up to three bets “riding”. Unlike Poker and Blackjack, in Let it Ride you will not be playing against the other players nor against the dealer. Instead, you are playing against yourself! Let it Ride is a solitaire style game where you only have to have a good hand, you don't have to beat anyone else's hand. In fact, you could have the lowest hand at the table with only a pair of tens to keep you company, but you will still win!

Mistakes Let It Ride Players Make

The biggest mistake new Let it Ride players make is not knowing what hands are good and worth riding on. Many players just ride and hope to get something when in all reality, there are only a handful of hands that you should 'let it ride' with. Before you are even dealt any cards, you must first place 3 same amount bets on the table. Once everyone has made their wagers the dealer will give each player 3 cards and once everyone has looked at their cards they will have the choice to take back one of their bets or let it ride. Then the dealer will deal a face up community card followed by a chance to take back your second bet or let it ride. The dealer will finally deal the last community card and you will need to make your best 5 card Poker hand with your 3 hole cards and the 2 community cards. Again, you do not have to beat any other players or the dealer, you must simply have a pair of 10's or better in your 5 card hand.

Let it Ride Strategy - When To Let It Ride

The hardest part of playing Let it Ride is knowing when to Let it Ride and when to take back a bet. If you know poker hand rankings, you shouldn't have too hard of a time catching on, but if you are brand new to Poker altogether, you might need a little help. Let it Ride Poker 3 Card Strategy

This is strategy for when you have your first chance to pull back a bet, when the only cards you have to use are your 3 hole cards. Below are hands in which you should not pull back the bet in the circle marked with a 1, instead you should scrape your cards on the table and let the dealer know you want to 'Let it Ride'!

If you already have a winning hand (pair of 10's or better)

If you have 3 cards towards a royal flush (like K, Q, J of the same suit)

If you have 3 suited, connected cards (like 5, 6, 7 of the same suit)

If you have 3 cards in a 4 card spread towards a straight flush with at least one card being 10 or better(like 7, 9, 10 suited)

If you have 3 cards in a 5 card spread towards a straight flush with at least 2 cards being 10 or better (like 9, J, K suited)

Let it Ride Poker 4 Card Strategy

This is a line up of hands which you should let ride when you have your second chance to take back a bet. The following are hands that you should 'let ride' rather than pull back your wager in the circle marked with a 2. The last couple hands on the list mention outside straights. An outside straight is also known as an open ended straight in many poker games. This means that there are 2 different cards that can complete your straight. In example, if you have 7, 8, 9, 10, you need a 6 or a Jack to complete your straight. This is an outside straight.

If you already have a winning hand (pair of 10s or better)

If you have 4 cards towards a royal flush (like K, Q, J, 10 suited)

If you have 4 cards towards a straight flush (like 8, 9, 10, J suited)
