There are many different systems in which people claim will help you to
win when playing Roulette, however many of them simply make no sense. Some
of the most well known Roulette Betting Systems are;
Martingale System, d'Alembert System and the Fibonacci System. Those are the most commonly
used betting systems used by Roulette Players, however, there are always
rogue betting systems that come and go like when a man from the UK claimed
to have found a loophole and said that using this loophole betting system
you could make £200 a day. However, when complaints came in about
this system being broadcast by the UK press, the Advertising Standards Authority
stepped in and asked for proof which the man could not supply. Below we
will dive into a little more about the popular betting systems, what they
are and how they work.
Choosing a system and sticking with it is one of the most important Roulette
strategies. Too often players will do their homework and check out all the different
betting systems before choosing one. Then once they have chosen one and headed
to the casino, they have it in their mind that they are going to use the betting
system and stick to it and as long as they do they will be fine. However more
often than not players get discouraged too quickly and abandon the system before
they have had time to see it work it's magic.
The Martingale betting system is one of the most recognized of all betting
systems out there as well as being one of the oldest betting systems that
are still used today. If you have ever played Roulette or heard of any betting
systems, you are sure to have read about the Martingale betting system.
The concept is pretty easy to grasp, although many players claim that you
could end up losing a lot using this betting system. It is a betting system
that is used for even money bets, like black, red, even, odd bets.
The Martingale betting system goes like this; you place your wager, if you
lose your wager you make your bet twice as big the next time around. For
example, if you started with a $5 bet and you lost, next time you would
make a $10 bet. If you lost again you would again double your bet and would
now make a $20 bet. The thinking in this is that if you double the bet each
time, you will win back whatever you have lost, however this can put you
in a sticky situation if you get into a losing streak.
The d'Alembert betting system is also known as the cancellation system.
It is another one that is pretty easy to understand, although whether or
not it truly works and is profitable is still debated to this day. The d'Alembert
or cancellation betting system is also often mistakenly called the d'Albert
system, no matter which of the 3 names, the system is still the same.
Here is how it works; first you will need to figure out how much you want
to wager each turn. Once you have decided this you will then decide how
many times you want to wager. Once you have decided what kind of wagers
you will be making and how many you will need to write down that many 1's
on a piece of paper. Say for instance you wanted to make 8 $1 bets, you
would write down 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 on a piece of paper. You will then total
the numbers from each end and make the appropriate bet, so for here, your
first bet would be $2. If you won that bet you would cross off one number
1 from each side, but if you lose that bet you will cross off the 1 on the
far left and add a 2 to the right for the number of loses. Now on your next
turn your paper will show 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 2, so you add the ends together
again and bet $3. The system continues in the same way, if you win, you
cross off both numbers you added together. If you lose, you cross off the
number on the left and put the total after the last number on the right.
Most of the betting systems are easy to understand as long as you know basic math. The Fibonacci system is similar to the Martingale system however it has some twists of it's own. You will increase your bet when you lose like when using the Martingale system, however you will not increase your bet as drastically as you do in the Martingale system. Instead of doubling your bet each time you win, you will follow the outline you have already made. Many say that the Fibonacci betting system is not for the newbie bettor, but instead someone who has patience, time and money to make this system profitable for them.
The basic Fibonacci system layout looks like this on a piece of paper; 1
1 2 3 5 8 of course you could always add a couple more bets if you
wish and it would continue on from 8; 13, 21, 34, 55 etc. If you are a math
wiz I am sure you have already caught on to the pattern. The numbers start
with 1 1. 1+1=2 so the next number in the line is 2. 1+2=3 so the next number
that comes after 2 will be 3. 3+5=8 so the next number that comes after
5 will be 8 and so on. You will start by betting 1, unlike the Martingale
or even the d'Alembert systems you do not cross 1 or 2 numbers off. If you
lose, the next time you add the next number to the end of the line and make
the next wager. For instance, if you lost the first 1 bet, you would add
13 after 8 and your next bet would be 1 again. If again you lost, you would
add 21 after 13 and your next bet would be 2. Of course if you win your
next bet you cross of the highest number on the paper.
